Satisfying product/application standard requirements?
WQiC is your partner for Welding Procedure Qualifications. We can qualify your welders, welding operators, brazing procedures and brazers to a wide range of British, European and International standards and codes. This includes international standard’s recognition in certain industrial sectors.
Some industry sectors and some clients require that Welding Procedure Qualifications and Welder Qualifications are issued by a Type A inspection body under ISO/IEC 17020, demonstrating impartiality and integrity.
WQiC are also accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024 for the certification of persons. WQiC own and operate certification of persons scheme for permanent joining qualifications.
As an approved body WQiC Ltd can issue universally accepted permanent joining qualifications. This can be for sectors that utilise pressurised equipment and fall under the (UK) pressure equipment regulations (requiring the services of an Approved Body appointed by DBT).
WQiC Ltd are fully committed to deliver a quality service to all customers, regardless of size or industry sector. WQiC Ltd holds ISO 9001 certification from BSi, a UKAS accredited certification body.
WQiC as a partnered organisation with LRQA-CASL Ltd, can also offer welding qualifications under the PED for CE Marked Pressure Equipment.
Standards and codes for a wide range of industry sectors
WQiC can qualify welding tests to various standards and codes across a wide range of industry sectors. Whether you are requiring welding tests to satisfy BS EN1090 or require your welders to be coded for work on pressure pipework or vessels (ASME IX) WQiC can do this for you.
Various Industry sectors and organisations use a wide range of terminology to mean the same thing, hence this could include; welding procedure tests, welder coding tests, coded welder tests, welder approval tests and coded welding tests, all of which usually originate from an application standard or contract specifications. In recent years the word welding procedure approval and welder approval have been changed by ISO (International Standards Organisation) to ‘welding procedure qualifications’ and ‘welder qualification tests’ so that this falls in line with the ASME terminology.
Finally, no matter what your requirements are, we at WQiC can discuss them with you and assist you in meeting your contractual obligations. Contact us now to find out more.
