Welding Qualification Inspection and Certification Ltd or WQiC are a UKAS-accredited (Nº9430) independent inspection body, which issues welding qualifications in the UK for pressure equipment and other high-integrity industries. We pride ourselves on being one of the leading independent welding certification bodies in the country.
We offer over 30 years’ experience in verification of welding qualifications through weld inspection, testing and welding certification for the fabrication and welding industry. We offer a range of testing options including non-destructive testing, mechanical testing and thermal cutting testing. We also offer thorough failure investigations for materials that do not pass our testing.
As a type ‘A’ and DBT* Accredited Body (UKCA Marking), WQiC can issue Permanent Joining Qualifications for both the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations (PE(S)R) and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) for CE Marking (Partnered with LRQA-CASL Ltd Eire).
