How long does a welding qualification last?
Welding qualifications under BS EN ISO 9606-1 are valid for two or three years, depending on requirements. To maintain validity, welders must have six-month continuity records signed by an approved supervisor. If the qualification hasn’t been used in the last six months, a retest may be required to remain qualified and compliant.
